This week we:
- had a test on addition and subtraction
- worked on finding multiples and lowest common multiples
- learned about how to analyze the setting in a story and how to create a two-sentence summary for a story
- began learning about our democracy in Canada in preparation for the Municipal Student Vote project
- reviewed similes, metaphors, and onomatopoeia
- created Onomatopoeia art
- had an open book quiz on Matter in Science
- got books from the Library
- went to French
We also continued with our math and literacy routines, which include:
- examining a poem, looking at theme, rhyme scheme, and figurative language
- Paragraph of the Week, including a key word outline, rough draft, and good copy
- sentence level writing
- weekly paragraph editing work
- Morphology
- daily math journal time, where we work on number fluency and problem solving
