read the beginning of Touching Spirit Bear for first chapter Friday
read three chapters from our class novel
had French class
learned how to find equivalent fractions
did experiments to show that air is moves like a fluid and that air can be compressed
had gym class
had some time to catch up on missing work
had an assembly
had a class circle

learned about ratios and how to represent them three ways
did experiments to show that air is made up of different gasses and that air has pressure

worked on a non-fiction book report using what we have learned about non-fiction text structures and text features

learned how to multiply fractions by a whole number
did experiments to show that air has mass and air takes up space

started our Air and Flight unit with an examination of the Miracle on the Hudson, we predicted which words will be important during this Science unit

started learning about poetry, we wrote a lyrical poem as a class
had time for our reading race work, we have 9 more books to go until we get a chip buffet
read three chapters from our class novel
worked on adding and subtracting fractions with unlike denominators
had gym class

studied for our upcoming Haudenosaunee unit test by completing review assignments in pairs
worked on the Reading Race, we have read 71 books this year but we are trying to get to 100
had French class
started a new class novel, Front Desk by Kelly Yang
learned how to add fractions and mixed numbers with common denominators

Attended the David Thompson production of the Hobbit
learned how to order groups of three fractions with unlike denominators, using the common denominator method
