• worked on traditional long division problems
• began writing our whole class story, we completed a graphic organizer, wrote a skeleton draft and we have started working on adding descriptive details
• had French class
• read one chapter from our class novel
• visited the Sugar Shack at David Thompson to try some traditional maple syrup candy
• worked on our Grecian urn art project
• worked on non-fiction reading comprehension with a descriptive text structure about John Ware

• worked on a visual journal page to show what we have learned about footprint evidence and class/accidental characteristics
• went to the Friendship Dance in the gym

• learned about the five different kinds of non-fiction text structures and started working specifically on the description structure
• worked on finding decimal and whole number remainders using the traditional and box methods for long division, with two-digit divisors
• read aloud four chapters from our class novel
• finished our Observe/Infer visual journal pages for Science
• started learning about class and accidental characteristics by looking at shoe prints in Sciene
• had time for the Reading Race
• worked on how to add descriptive and relevant details to short stories to make our writing more interesting
• had French class

• learned three new root words to help develop our vocabulary and word detective skills
• had time for reading race
• did an assignment on non-fiction text features to identify the text feature and to use them to answer reading comprehension questions
• worked on using the box method of long division to solve questions with two-digit divisors and both whole number and decimal remainders
• started learning about how to write a good short story, we practiced using different strategies to write story starters
• began our Evidence and Investigation Science unit, we watched a Bill Nye video about Forensics, learned about the 8 steps to solving a crime, and worked on using observation skills and using good observations to form reasonable inferences
• had French
• played badminton
• started a Greek art project

• watched the second part of Hercules to compare original myths to the Disney version
• did a practice test in pairs to study for our Ancient Athens test tomorrow
• had French class
