This week we:
- examined a poem, looking at theme, rhyme scheme, and figurative language
- did Paragraph of the Week, including a key word outline, rough draft, and good copy
- worked on sentence level writing
- did weekly paragraph editing work
- did morphology
- had daily math journal time, where we work on number fluency and problem solving
- continued working on addition and subtraction with decimal numbers, including problems with money
- learned about how to analyze the conflict in a piece of fiction and how to create a plot diagram
- finished our unit on addition and subtraction, we did a review to prepare for the test next week
- worked on comprehension questions about the phases of matter
- got books from the Library
- went to French
